Backstory
Charlie was lucky from the get-go: initially trained as a fine artist at the Miriam Brown Fine School in Philadelphia, beginning at age seven.
At that time, Philadelphia public schools had a passion for art, and Charlie was privileged to have two periods of art every single day throughout high school, so by eleven he was selling his paintings at Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse Square ‘clothesline’ show.
After graduation from the Philadelphia Museum College of Art, he began his career in Washington DC as a graphic designer, where he worked for over one hundred government, non-profit and social sector organizations, winning over 75 awards in just two years and where he created his famous VISTA poster, “IF YOU’RE NOT PART OF THE SOLUTION, YOU’RE PART OF THE PROBLEM.”
Moving to New York City, Charlie was first a sales promotion creative director, then an advertising agency art director, copywriter and a creative director, and eventually founded two New York City advertising agencies and three strategic consulting firms — two in New York and one in London.
He was fortunate yet again, to be schooled at creative hotbeds such as Smith/Greenland, the legendary Lord Geller Federico Einstein, Cabot Boston, Leber Katz Partners and the outrageous Lois Holland Callaway.
He turned serial entrepreneur and started Herman and Rosner Enterprises, Inc. in 1978; Public Sector Solutions, Inc. in 1991; Marketing Pathfinding, Inc. in 1997; Hall Triggle Rosner Parker London in 2002 and charlierosner.com in 2012.
