Giving Back

Charlie was an adjunct professor at New York’s School of Visual Arts for over thirty years, and was a guest lecturer at the Syracuse University Newhouse School Masters in Advertising program, New York University, Penn State University The Sarasota Ringling School, The Philadelphia Museum College of Art, Parsons College, The Fashion Institute of Technology and The New School for Social Research.

He was a frequent public speaker at marketing industry events, conducting over twenty-five AdWeek Magazine seminars across the country, and conducted marketing workshops for SmithKline Beecham in Strasburg, France and at General Electric's Executive Education Center in Crotonville.

Charlie was a Member of The Board of The Bridge Mental Health Agency for two decades and was General Electric’s Board Representative for Great Northern Insurance. At the behest of GE Capital, Charlie launched and for six years was the Chairman of Atlanta-based MediaVehicles.

Charlie was a Life Member of The Art Directors Club of New York (Now The One Club), was the Chief Operating Officer of the Stamford East Side Partnership, and for three years was the Chief Marketing Officer of Reinventing Stamford.
